Frugal Tip!

Do you ever get tired of all of those grocery bags and not know what to do with them?

Well, I have a solution...and it will save you money!

Instead of throwing them away, use them as trash bags.

This what we do in our house.

I hang one on a cabinet door knob.

You never have an overflowing trash can...

And you have saved money in buying trash bags!

Don't worry about it looking sloppy when guests come over...just throw it in a garbage can outside and you will have a nice clean trash can when they arrive!

Header looks great!!!

We use them for all or small garbage cans and have for years. One time Fireman yelled, MOM! We need to go get groceries? I said why? He said we are OUT OF GARBAGE Bags!!! Meaning the Walmart bags we used as liners...ha ha!

We have always done this as well. I use them as liners in my trash cans and also hang them behind the bedrooms' door for easy pick up of trash that accumulates on the floor. One thing I have started to do is before putting the grocery bag, I line the trash can with those scented bags that I get at the dollar store. I replace these every so often.

Your children are all so beautiful! I love the smocked dress your little girl is wearing--so sweet!
I try to use reusable bags as much as possible, but I also bring home the plastic ones. I need to--with two cats and two ferrets (not to mention the chihuahua), I have to clean the cage and litter box daily. I also like to line small trash cans with them. It's so much easier just to pick up the handles, tie the bag up, and throw it out!
BTW, since the bags are obviously food safe, here's anther way I use them: if I cut up meat for dinner, but don't need to use it immediately, I store it in the grocery bag in the fridge. Why waste a good Ziploc bag or dirty a bowl, right?

Thanks for stopping by my blog and leaving a comment about the freebies that I post. I love to scour and find the best ones I can. I love the Wal-Mart freebies. I am currently using my samples to create a frugal beauty basket for a friend for her birthday.
